Michael Murphy, Principal Consultant
Michael is the principal consultant and founder of antero HR and is based in Adelaide. He has over twenty years’ experience in providing effective HR support to a wide range of SME’s, corporates, and professional associations with all aspects of recruitment, selection, development, retention, and career transition.
Michael has experience in delivering HR results in relation to effective one-off or multiple hire recruitment campaigns, training and implementing processes, systems and HR tools to increase staff engagement, and assisting individuals and companies with career management.
In particular Michael has supported numerous SME’s in achieving their business goals as an outsourced HR provider fulfilling all HR requirements, or providing outcomes with more specific outsourced requirements (e.g. recruitment and selection, development and retention, or career transition).
Prior to antero HR Michael was appointed to local, national, and international senior HR roles and projects for Hewlett Packard. He commenced his career as a Remuneration Analyst and HR Business Partner for Citigroup, then worked at KPMG HR Consulting before joining Morgan and Banks (Hudson) where he continued to help organisations of all sizes in private and public sectors across Australia.
While Michael provides HR to organisations of all sizes, he particularly likes to contribute to the profitability of SME’s. He is married with two children, has a rescue dog, and in his free time enjoys cycling and trying to play the guitar.
